Australian Celebrities are getting behind the Our Family Limited Edition Book to raise money for sick kids of Sydney Children’s Hospital.
So far Hi 5, Jaynie Seal (Channel 9), Sophie Faulkner, and Charlotte Inglis (Inglis Stables) are supporting the project by having their families and what they mean to them included in this Historic Book. More celebrities are yet to be confirmed but we’ll keep you posted.
Today is gone tomorrow, this year rolls into next year – how will you remember what your family means to you today in years to come? Better still, how will your loved ones know what they meant to you?
This is your chance to be part of History!
Join other families and Australian Celebrities in celebrating what family means to them. Register now to become a member of the Our Family Limited Edition Book and take your place in history.
This tip has been prompted by a friend who posted this on FaceBook – my hard drive has crashed & I have lost the last 12 months photos of my kids!
Hopefully our tip below can help minimise the chance of you losing your valuable memories.
When it’s chilly getting into bed, instead of reaching for the electric blanket, reach for a lavendar heat pack.
The added bonus is the lavender scent gives you a restful sleep too.
Here is a BINGO idea for those of you who have to attend boring meetings. Make your meeting fun by playing Bulls**t BINGO!
Israel & I used to play this when we worked together in our corporate days. We would keep track of the Buzz Words that took place in the meeting, and at the end whoever had the most were the Bulls**t BINGO Winner for that meeting. Some of our personal favourite buzz words / phrases were: “Let’s take it off line”, “Touch base later”, “Quick win”, “Low-hanging fruit”, “Win-Win”. Do they still use these at meetings today?
Anyway, evidently the game has become a lot more popular. There are now even websites with BINGO cards you can print. Lookup Bulls**t BINGO with Google to check them out for a laugh or even print one off. Go on, have some fun in your boring meetings!
Noni (our Vision Personal Trainer) wanted to get her mum something really special for her birthday so arranged a Portrait Gift Certificate. The message Noni asked us to write on the Gift Certificate made both Israel & I cry. It was really appropriate when Noni’s family were able to get together on Valentines Day to celebrate their family & have their portraits done. They chose Catherine Hill Bay on the Central Coast as their location as it has a very special meaning to the family.
Seriously what Mother would not love portraits with her girls like this?
We just love the old school vibe of this shot. Beautiful girls in their bikini’s leaning up against an old Sandman – it’s like this image is from an old surf mag!
We photographed Anita & Patrick’s Wedding in May 2007, so we were very excited when they made a trip from Melbourne to Sydney & asked us to do their family portraits. This beautiful couple were always destined to be together and to be parents. As you’ll see from their portraits at Centennial Park, they are loving Parenthood and their gorgeous girl Annabelle is the apple of their eyes.
We just love the look of love on Anita & Patrick’s face in the image above and their obvious delight of being mum & dad in the images below.
The images below are just devine – they really show Annabelle’s deep personality but also a cheeky side too!
We’ve became members of the Our Family Limited Edition Project because we wanted to ensure what we felt for Indrani & our family today did not fade with our memory over time!
We chose Coogee Beach for our portrait session because it has special meaning to us – Israel & I got married on this beach & it’s our favourite family spot on Sunday Family Day. Here is a selection of our favourites.
We are thinking of the portrait above as the one to put in the Our Family book. We think it really depicts our closeness – how Indrani is central to our world, how we clearly adore her & well at this age she adores us. Just have to immortalise before the teenage years hit!
3 years & 9 months – to us, she just keeps getting more beautiful!
I just love the personality that shows through in these next few photos – shy & retiring – NOT!
Amanda & Damon invited 85 of their closest family & friends to witness them exchange vows in a Traditional Service at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at Mosman. Following the theme of traditional and elegant, their guests were treated to an intimate reception at the beautiful Boronia House. Amanda & Damon chose to have location shots at the immaculate grounds of Boronia House and Cremorne Point with our amazing harbour as their backdrop.
Amanda & Damon chose this image as their favourite because “it is quite intimate, and we love the harbour in the background.”
“Don’t confuse yourself with too many choices – less is more.
Drink plenty of water early in the day!!
Sit back with hubby at dinner to watch the room together – you tend to forget a lot of the night’s happenings!!
We had a truly beautiful day but, as everyone told us, it went so quick!!! The photos help to remember!!”
We loved that another of our wonderful wedding couples (Felicity & Nick) referred Amanda & Damon to us.
We loved that Amanda & Damon chose the theme of Elegant & Traditional. This theme perfectly matched this lovely couple and everything about their day was kept simple. This is probably a by product of Amanda & Damon’s advice of less is more.
It was quite beautiful to watch the eye contact between Amanda & Damon – it was very intimate and very special to be able to capture those emotions for them. Their favourite shot is just one of these!
Boronia House is just wonderful too – fantastic photographic fodder in the grounds, lovely ambience in the venue and great food too.
In keeping with the traditional theme, Amanda chose a five year old pare of shoes she bought in Melbourne – this was something old! You would never know they were old!
“My engagement ring cut is unique and the most beautiful ring ever. Not many girls have this cut which I love – I don’t like going for standard and what everyone else has. The wedding band matches perfectly. Damon’s is quite unique too.” (you will see Damon’s ring featured further down in this story).
These are so cute with the word “Mrs” sewn into them. What hubby wouldn’t love seeing these?
Amanda & Damon ensured the traditional & elegant theme was carried right through for everything about their day.
Amanda describes her dress as “simple, but elegant”, with her hair being “Sweeping, Flowing and Stunning.”
The ceremony was “traditional nature” and held at quaint Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Mosman. And in keeping with tradition, this is the very church that Amanda’s grandparents married in back in 1947.
I just love the emotion in these 3 shots. Dad & Amanda having a bit of a laugh as they get out of the car, Damon sucking in a deep breath when he sees Amanda walking down the aisle with her dad, and her dad brushing away a little tear. These little emotions which if left to memory would never be experienced, immortalised for life!
I just love the tradition in this shot – the 3 sets of hands is just beautiful.
We tried to capture the elegance & tradition of this wedding at the location shots too – of course, mixed with some fun too! We used the beautiful grounds of Boronia House and the backdrop of the Harbour at Cremorne Point to create these images.
Amanda & Damon hired stunning jags from AAA Limousines. Another simple, elegant & traditional choice!
Amanda & Damon said their reception was “Romantic & Fun”. Just look at these grounds of Boronia House – how could it not be?
We loved that Amanda & Damon had Nick sing & play this stunning piano. So talented & a nice guy too!
Just look at the look on Amanda’s face – she is just loving being Mrs Mumford!
I just love this look of absolute love and adoration on Amanda’s face as her new husband is doing his speech. And below, her cracking up too!
Amanda & Damon doing their bridal waltz, followed by Amanda carving up the dance floor doing the Macarena.
