Fun Times At Paddington Reservoir

What can we say about this shoot? We love it! … the memories captured are great, the location (Paddington Reservoir) chosen by Penny is awesome, BUT most of all the family had loads of fun together! Israel was laughing his head off when he came back from this shoot. Penny had been singing a LMFAO song to her boys at the shoot, and Israel loved it so much he had to buy it from itunes. It’s now frequently played around the house and I have told Israel he will have to explain to Indrani what it means if she asks. :-)

Getting back to the shoot itself, Penny had two special requests of Israel and that was to have portraits which show the family’s affection and to have a great family shot. Take a look for yourself and see why Penny & Andrew loved their portraits so much.

I love this shot of the boys. You can just see how much fun they were having!

Sweet Sweet Two Week Old

Sweet Sweet Holly was just 2 weeks old when her beautiful parents brought her in for her first portrait shoot. Everytime a bub comes to the Studio I am mush, but I can tell you this, Holly is simply divine! Mum & dad have every reason to be clearly mesmorised by her, as you will see in these lifelong treasures captured by Israel.

This shoot was extra special because one of Holly’s grandmother’s came along too.

Fun and Games In Centennial Park

How much fun can a photoshoot be for kids? Heaps! James captured these 3 siblings having a blast in Centennial Park.

During her design consult, their mum had simply asked for some natural shots. Suffice to say, she absolutely loved the result. Here are some of her favourites:

When the Sunshine Came, It Was Game On!

Moira was very clear what she wanted for her family portraits. Sunshine, and a family photo for the wall – “oh my god, look at this! Remember when we went to Coogee all the time”. The weather however was not playing fair. Moira’s portraits had been rescheduled due to rain a number of times. Even on the morning of this shoot, Israel had rescheduled again because of the rain. But in the afternoon, when the sunshine came, Israel called Moira and she got the family together and it was Game On!

Well worth the wait, wouldn’t you agree?

Johanna’s Family living it up at Coogee Beach

We met Johanna through Oovie, who are one of our wonderful sponsors of the Our Family – We’re Growing Up! book. Johanna told us in her design consultation that she wanted relaxed and happy family portraits, showing their closeness. Beautiful Coogee Beach was chosen as the backdrop for their shoot.

Johanna’s family is featured in this years Our Family – We’re Growing Up! book. The image below is the portrait they have chosen to share in the book. Underneath the image we’ve included Johanna’s words which will be featured alongside her family portrait.

Those words usually precede a long story as we re-tell a memory from our childhood growing up in New Zealand in the 70′s and 80′s.

Our hope for our family, now that we live in Australia, is that we take every opportunity and experience life fully so that our children can start many of their own happy sentences with

“I remember the time……”

And we will remember with them.

I just love this image they chose. Johanna’s words are incredible! What is so special about the Our Family-We’re Growing Up! book is that in years to come, Johanna’s children will share this book with their own family and friends.

Francesca and Family enjoy beautiful Botanical Gardens

We met Francesca through our favourite parents website – Ellaslist. Francesca told us she is totally in love with her son, he was inquisitive and she wanted portraits that captured this. A natural family portrait was also important to Francesca, and as you can see James did a brillian job at fulfilling on her wish list.

Juliette received a Gift Certificate for Family Portraits and chose beautiful Tamara Beach as the perfect backdrop. Juliette told us she really wanted portraits that were not too posed, casual, friendly, natural with a whole family shot and the kids all together. James was their photographer and you’ll see from the images below exactly why Juliette loved them!

Rebecca and Family at the Home Property

Rebecca registered to be part of the Our Family – We’re Growing Up! book celebrating family and Sydney Children’s Hospital. Rebecca wanted her portraits to show the closeness of the family, and specifically chose a Saturday when family were visiting from Adelaide. In keeping with the theme of family, Rebecca chose the family property for the location of their shoot.

James did a fabulous job fulfilling on Rebecca’s brief. Below are some of her favourite images.

Martyn & his favourite girls at Centennial Park!

A friend of Martyns’ had their family portraits taken by Israel, so when they decided it was time for their portraits he naturally contacted us. Martyn told Israel he really wanted some family shots and images capturing Darcey’s cheeky look, with perhaps her focussing on something else. As you can see from the images below, Israel created some wonderful memories of Martyn and his favourite girls at Centennial Park.

Martyn commented that “Israel managed to build rapport with our 2 y.o. daughter and put the family at a comfortable level enabling great, relaxed photos to be taken – exactly what we were after.”

Sue, Phil and Blonde Angels at Coogee Beach

We’ve been blessed with knowing Sue & Phil for 5 years now, meeting them as part of our Mother’s Group for Indrani. Last year Phil organised a birthday party for Sue and suggested our gift be family portraits because she had been talking about organising some for so long.

Sue & Phil chose beautiful Coogee Beach as the backdrop for their portraits as its where they spend time alot of time.

They also had a very clear view of the outcome they wanted from their portraits – 3 framed artworks to be hung under each other, with one being a feature of the whole family. The suite of images below were their favourites with the first 3 chosen for their framed artworks.
