Natalie & Bevan’s Favourite Image
“We felt like we were walking on air the whole day and we think this picture is whimsical. It definitely captures the happiness we felt on the day.”
Advice from Natalie & Bevan
What are your best words of advice for other brides?
“Let the professionals do their job – they know what they’re doing, focus on your guests and enjoying your day, cause it goes past in a flash.”
What We Loved…
From the moment we first met Nat & Bevan we just knew we were going to have great fun being part of their day. They are organised but relaxed at the same time.
The simple elegance & classic style of Nat’s gown & Bev’s suit perfectly suited St Michael’s classic old world charm. It would be remiss not to mention the WatersEdge – not only is it a a spectacular venue because of it’s style but the backdrop is a photographers dream. And of course, the food is sensational too! (tip: feeding your photographer properly is important to keep energy levels up – shooting a wedding is like running about 9kms with about 20 kilos of equipment on your back !)
The Finer Details
“We kept things quite classic and simple while focussing on the details.”
“My dress was simple, elegant and well made with beautiful materials. I let the hairdresser decide on a style which softly curled and then gathered into a bun at the nape of my neck. The cathedral length veil was pinned into the bun and was easily removed later in the day.”
“I have a diamond band & Bev has a white gold band. We splurged on my wedding band, so as a thank you I surprised him with a watch which Israel delivered to Bev the morning of the wedding while he was getting ready. He was completely surprised.”
The Ceremony
Natalie & Bevan had a traditional church service at St Michael’s Anglican Church at Vaucluse.
“What I loved most about our ceremony was standing at the church door arm in arm with my dad about to walk down the aisle – trying to calm his nerves.”
Location Shots
After some quick location shots on the amazing steps leading to the church, the bridal party headed to the beautiful grounds of Strickland House. Here we captured some stunning shots amongst the greenery with our amazing city in the background & on the sand – so much to work with!
We then jumped in the cars & headed to the city for some fun around the Harbour Bridge. What a fantastic peice of architecture – it was here we shot Nat & Bev’s favourite image.
The reception
“We wanted our reception to be elegant and fun. We wanted it to look beautiful and wanted the guests to feel relaxed and enjoy the night without it being too rigid and formal.”
